Levoxyl® is indicated for thyroid hormone replacement or supplemental therapy for hypothyroidism. Levoxyl® is contraindicated in patients with untreated thyrotoxicosis, acute myocardial infarction, uncorrected adrenal insufficiency, or hypersensitivity to any of its inactive ingredients. Levoxyl® is protected by U.S. Patent Number 6,555,581
Adverse reactions are primarily those of hyperthyroidism due to therapeutic overdose. Use with caution in patients with cardiovascular disease.
